Return and Refund Policy

We accept eligible returns within 30 days of delivery. To request a return, please contact HWJ Electric before shipping any item back. Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, the item must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received.

Because we sell industrial electrical equipment, surplus inventory, new old stock (NOS), open-box items, and used equipment, items that have been installed, wired, energized, altered, disassembled, damaged, or otherwise used after delivery may not be eligible for return unless the item was defective or materially different from the listing when received.

Original packaging, when supplied, should be returned with the item whenever possible.

Buyers are responsible for verifying part numbers, voltage, amperage, specifications, configuration, compatibility, and suitability for their application before purchasing.

Buyer-Requested Returns

For returns due to ordering the wrong item, incompatibility, changed mind, or another reason unrelated to an error by HWJ Electric:

Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received.
Items that have been installed, wired, energized, modified, or damaged after delivery may not qualify for a refund.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If an item arrives damaged, is materially different from the listing, or you receive the wrong item, contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue and make it right.

Please retain the item, packaging, and shipping materials until the issue has been resolved. We may request photographs or other information to help document shipping damage or an item-related issue.

Surplus and New Old Stock Items

Many products sold by HWJ Electric are surplus, discontinued, new old stock, or open-box industrial electrical components.

Original packaging may show shelf wear, dirt, writing, labels, tape, fading, tears, or other cosmetic storage wear. Packaging condition will be disclosed when applicable and does not necessarily indicate that the electrical component itself has been used.

Product photos and descriptions should be reviewed carefully before purchase.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If a return is approved, you may return the eligible item and place a separate order for the replacement item.

Refunds

Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the refund status.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing time after a refund is issued depends on your bank or credit card provider.

If the returned item is materially different from the condition in which it was shipped, including installation, wiring, modification, missing components, or buyer-caused damage, the refund may be reduced or denied where permitted by law.
